High-Resolution Seafloor Sediment Imaging near Monterey Bay Using Distributed Acoustic Sensing with Advanced Surface-Wave Denoising (in Chinese)

Date:

This talk presented a high-resolution imaging study of offshore sediments near Monterey Bay using DAS and ambient-noise interferometry. By enhancing the first-overtone Scholte waves with surface-wave denoising, the study improves the shear-velocity model to about 1.5 km depth and reveals small-scale low-velocity anomalies that may be related to fault damage zones or paleo-canyon sediments.
